SRINAGAR

The separatist leadership on Wednesday evening continued its candlelight vigils in parts of Kashmir valley as part of its “Human Rights Week”.

A spokesman of separatist amalgam Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) said people from several places including Wanganpora Eidgah, Chattabal, Anchar Soura, Nasrullah pora Budgam and other places staged candle light protests against the ongoing “human rights abuses in Kashmir.”

The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), a separatist conglomerate headed by Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, have urged people to observe the week from December 3.

They have asked people to hold peaceful protests and candlelight vigils after evening prayers to highlight alleged human rights violations in Kashmir.
