CASO launched in Kulgam village, 3 arrested in nocturnal raids in Anantnag

SRINAGAR

Security forces started a cordon and search operation (CASO) on Monday in a village of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district after presence of militants was suspected, police said.

Following a tip off the security forces started the search operation in Kandipora village.

No firing exchange has been reported as yet from the area.

Meanwhile, three people were arrested by forces personnel during night raids in Panzath and Drinan villages of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Police said that Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh, Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh, Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, were arrested for allegedly taking part and organizing stone-pelting protests.
