Juloos-e-Aza (mourning processions) were organized today across Kashmir valley on Day 4 of Ashra Muharram 1440 AH.
Thousands of mourners participated in these processions to mourn Hazrat Imam Hussain (as) and 72 martyrs of Karbala.
Traditional Alam procession was taken out from Mohalla Kralpora which concluded at Imambara Zadibal in the evening.
In Sonawari, a massive Alam procession was taken out in Gulabpora, Kawpora.
In Old city Srinagar, Alam-e-Hazrat Abbas (as) was taken out on the banks of Dal Lake in Ashai Bagh area, which after passing through Hazratbal via Saida Kadal, culminated at Hassanabad in evening hours.
A Majliss-e-Hussaini was held at Gulshanbagh Srinagar.
In Dal Lake area, Juloos-e-Aza was taken out from Akhoon Mohalla in the evening and in Ganaidoori in Zadibal, the traditional Juloos-e-Alam was taken out which culminated at the historic Khankah-I-Mir Shamsuddin Iraqi (r).
Besides, Hussaini Majaliss and Marsiya Khwani were held throughout the day till late night across Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, mourning congregations will continue all-night long in Imambaras and mosques across the state especially in Shi’ite dominated areas.
