Drug peddler held with 80 kg dried bhang in Anantnag: Police

SRINAGAR

A drug peddler was arrested in Sangam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday along with a huge quantity of dried bhang (cannabis), police said.

“A police party of Police Post Sangam laid a naka at Doonipora Sangam and during checking, a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK03D-7713 was intercepted. On checking, 80 kilograms of dried bhang was recovered from the possession of Ajaz Ahmad Ganie son of Mohammad Anwar resident of Hanjipora Semthan,” said an official.

“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in this regard and investigation has been taken up.”
