About Us

HARMUKH NEWS was launched in September by a team of young professional journos with aim to provide an unbiased and ethical reportage of happenings from the conflict-plagued state of Jammu and Kashmir where swarms of “news” organizations either tow the government line or are in league with other elements thus never presenting the true picture of things from the vale.

Although focused on delivering news content from J&K, especially from Kashmir valley, HARMUKH NEWS has made an effort to provide its readers content from across India and the world plus interesting stories from every genre including entertainment, technology and off-beat stuff so that besides a getting the latest updates of all the happenings, news consumers would also indulge in light-hearted write-ups and at times just chill out.

Instead of scampering to be the first to provide half-cooked and partial news items, we, at HARMUKH NEWS, are always striving to present a well-researched and complete picture of things to our esteemed readers and will make every effort to continue this trend which most so-called “news organizations” here seem to have thrown to the wind.

In the near future, when we achieve more financial stability, we plan to launch a daily newspaper which will be dedicated to this motto of reversing the negative and unethical trend of providing incomplete information to the publics in a bid to be the first to report.

In a short span of time, HARMUKH NEWS was able to garner worldwide acknowledgement, owing to our unique content, which though Kashmir-centric, aims to engage a mass audience at the global level that many news websites from the Valley fail to do and hence cannot make a global impact.

However, we have also made it our goal to prioritize and promote our culture, language, Art as well as Education via this global medium, so that the world can get to know Kashmir as something much more than a conflict zone.

At the moment, our income comes from Internet-based advertisements, which helps us to provide our readers free, fair and unbiased news stories. So, we request you to not to use ad-blockers while browsing our website and click a few ads to help us keep our journalism uninfluenced.
